Cold Cut Systems has developed training in Cutting Extinguishing and PPV at the Guttasjön training ground near Borås in cooperation with the Swedish Rescue Services Agency (SRV) and Södra Älvsborgs Rescue Service (SÄRF).
The rescue service in Södra Älvsborg (SÄRF) is Sweden's leading provider of training concerning Cutting Extinguishing and positive pressure ventilation.
SÄRF offers courses at all levels. Based on specialist competence in firefighting, and in close cooperation with the Swedish Rescue Services Agency, Cold Cut Systems and the Technical Research Institute of Sweden, SÄRF has established an international competence centre for training in cutting-extinguishing and PPV.
The safety aspect of Cutting Extinguishing is essential and the training is therefore clearly focused and targeted on safety in handling the equipment.
The combination of experienced instructors and an advanced training facility, where a number of fire and accident scenarios can be simulated, provide the participants on the course with the best conditions for learning how to use the Cutting Extinguisher and fans in highly efficient firefighting.
SÄRF can also arrange courses in other locations.
Cutting Extinguishing is now a compulsory subject in the two-year, post-secondary school training (SMO, Protection against accidents). The training is for people who wish to be firemen and work with rescue and safety.
This training is conducted within the framework of the Swedish Rescue Services Agency management of the country's national rescue training colleges.
