Cold Cut Systems at 112 Vakdagen, NL

Cold Cut Systems attended 112 Vakdagen in Gornichem, NL the second week in June together with local partner Nater Gas & Vloeistofsystemen B.V. 112 Vakdagen is the largest, most complete and best-attended event of emergency service, trade providers in the Netherlands. Innovation, interaction and networking were the three key opportunities at the trade fair for Cold Cut Systems.

The trade event consists of an exhibition, a research program and a demonstration site. The Cobra was prominent in all aspects of the fair, with demonstrations and input into the knowledge program with three comprehensive presentations on the cutting extinguisher concept and how it links with the Brandweerdoctrine Kwadrantenmodel.  Mark Smitherman, who provided the input with comparisons to UK development, engaged many attending representatives in discussions regarding how a cutting extinguisher can be very effectively integrated into firefighting actions involving outside offensive and internal defensive operations and how the Cobra can be used to facilitate safer environments for firefighters.

The model looks at how offensive and defensive operations can be structured into external and internal firefighting actions. The following slides detail how the coldcut™ cobra can operate within the model to facilitate safer operations within the key external offensive quadrant and internal defensive quadrant. In fact the Cobra can establish an offensive attack from an internal defensive firefighting position.

An external demonstration area supported the knowledge programme by providing a practical opportunity for exhibition attendees to view the coldcut™ cobra in action.  Regular practical demonstrations of how the Cobra can rapidly cool and stabilise fire conditions together with scenario information based on the Kwadrantenmodel was well received by all who attended.  With demonstrations linked directly to the knowledge program input, all aspects of coldcut™ cobra capability was on view, from front-end firefighting methods to strategic implementation strategies.

112 Vakdagen, attracted all aspects of fire service representation from across the Netherlands, including municipal fire services, industrial fire services and specialist fire response and training organisations. The coldcut™ cobra stand was a focal point for discussion and networking. Many key organsiations were looking to enhance their awareness and understanding of what the coldcut™ cobra can offer in relation to safer, more efficient and environmentally sound firefighting in the Netherlands.

Present at the 112 Vakdagen were Willem Nater, Ans Nater, Mark Smitherman and Anders Trewe.
