The addition of a Multi-Purpose Nozzle broadens the scope of the Cobra equipment. The MPN provides an enhanced ability to resolve many different firefighting scenarios. The combination makes Cobra an even more effective and efficient tool. The MPN complements Cobra when used at a range of incident types. Examples include car fires, outdoor fires, damping down operations, decontamination, and foam attacks.
The Multi-Purpose Nozzle is similar to conventional low-pressure nozzles and can provide variable spray patterns and nozzle pressures. You can quickly replace the Cobra hand lance with the Multi-Purpose Nozzle using the same hose. The nozzle is easily connected and can deliver the same amount of water at a lower pump pressure. The spray is easy to adjust, from a narrow to a wide cone spray jet. The pressure at the nozzle varies depending on the nozzle setting selected by the operator.
The MPN can only be attached to Cobra systems manufactured or officially adapted to allow MPN operation. Any attempt to operate MPN on non-adapted Cobra systems may risk injury.
